If I could ever fully see the truth, the depth and breadth: God’s Love for me, how different then my life would be. I’d sing His praise so joyfully.
If I Could Only See
The Truth of God’s Love for Me
by Effie Darlene Barba
How is it Lord I could not see?
The heighth of love you have for me
A love so great it stretcheth far
To reach beyond the farthest star
So great that Christ on bended knee
Before He went to Calvary
Did to His Father make this plea
That I His bride might one day be
Chorus
He loved me so, that He did die
To pay the price for such as I
A wretched slave to sin and pride
My filthy rags I could not hide
Yet, still He called me to His side
Redeemed, beloved to be His bride
He clothed me in His Righteousness
Sealed and Secure: The Spirit’s Kiss
And when I think the width thereof
Expanding wide thine arms of love
From East to West Eternally
My sin was cast away from me
That Christ might fill this heart of mine
The Holy Spirits Work Divine
Rooted Grounded in God’s Love
I’m given strength to soar above
The pains and sorrows of this life
Never entangled by its strife
Chorus
He loved me so, that He did die
To pay the price for such as I
A wretched slave to sin and pride
My filthy rags I could not hide
Yet, still He called me to His side
Redeemed, beloved to be His bride
He clothed me in His Righteousness
Sealed and Secure: The Spirit’s Kiss
Oh, Lord help me to comprehend
The depth and length Love doth extend
Empowering me to rise each day
To sing with Joy, though skies are gray
Trusting in You to know what’s best
I shout with Joy for I am blessed
Because I know you loved me so
All doubt and fear, I bid to go
Chorus
He loved me so, that He did die
To pay the price for such as I
A wretched slave to sin and pride
My filthy rags I could not hide
Yet, still He called me to His side
Redeemed, beloved to be His bride
He clothed me in His Righteousness
Sealed and Secure: The Spirit’s Kiss
If I could ever fully see the truth, the depth and breadth: God’s Love for me, how different then my life would be. I’d sing His praise so joyfully.
