It has been eight years since I first began this website. Over those years, I have studied a lot about how to manage it. Also, I have spent a lot; trying to keep it running. Learning how to keep it safe from cyber attacks. This has been a labor of love. Never have I considered the cost; although, they have risen throughout the years. I never turned to advertising; because, I could not maintain control of what was advertised. When facing malware, I purchased security. Desiring to spread the gospel of Christ to the world, I pay for translation apps. My goal? To reach others for Christ. Now, I face a crossroad. The cost continues to rise and I must decide whether to continue to keep this site or not. So, facing a crossroad; I turn to God and seek His guidance.
FACING A CROSSROAD
Through all these years of writing and financial sacrifice, I have considered it worth it all if only one person has found Christ or found their way. It has been with openness, I have told you my story. The same has been true of every book I have written. Each time I pondered whether this was what God wanted me to do, someone would send a note or a comment would come on Facebook that let me know they had been touched. God had touched them through something I said; that has always been enough. One young man reached out and was lead to Christ.
Now once more I face that crossroad and must decide. It is not about me. It has always been about Jesus Christ and His Glory. There are many more eloquent writers; but, God often chooses to do His work through those who are less eloquent. So, now, I turn to Him in prayer; patiently awaiting His answer. Do I continue? Here within this site lies eight years and nearly 2000 posts; proclaiming Him as Lord and Savior. There is no other name but Jesus who can save. Much more than that He is the only one who can bring abiding, steadfast joy whatever circumstance you may face.
Every Crossroad You Face
Every crossroad you face, He is there to guide you. He has promised to show you the way. He is always faithful. So, it is with prayer I stand before Him and I will wait for His answer.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour (2 Samuel 22:2-3).
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:4-5)
So at this crossroad, I seek His wisdom and know He will answer. Whatever crossroad you face, I urge you to do the same.
