‘Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers forever and ever. 6 Do not go after other gods to serve them and worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not harm you.’ 7 Yet you have not listened to Me,” says the Lord, “that you might provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt. Jeremiah 25:4-7 (NKJV)
God pleaded with the Jewish people to not turn their backs upon Him. He pleaded that they not worship other Gods; yet, they would not listen. He sent many prophets to warn them. Indeed, the northern tribes had been taken captive; yet, the people would not listen. In the midst of all the warnings, there did arise a King. King Josiah lead the people into revival that lead the tribe of Judah into a time of prosperity that lasted throughout his lifetime. After his death the people once more turned to idolatry and were taken captive by the Babylonians. God is a God of love; but, He is also a God of Righteousness. We are given a choice. We may follow that which is Godly or we may chase after our own foolish earthly desires. He has honored us with the right to choose; yet, if we choose to turn our backs on God, we choose to be separated from His Goodness, Kindness, and Glory as well.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:18-19
We, the Christians of this great nation have allowed our light to grow dim. We have followed along quietly like sheep heading toward the precipice; allowing comfort and political correctness to lead us into danger. God has sent signs to awaken us. This election has pulled at our hearts and souls, screaming at us to awaken. Our hearts and minds have been wrenched as words are heard, choices are made hard. We have candidates that many would say rip at the fabric of decency. Yet, we are in a crossroads. Will we choose revival in our own hearts. Have we been shaken awake enough to cry out to God, “I have sinned! Please have mercy on me and my nation.”
The choice we make on November 8 may determine whether we move quickly into judgement or we move toward a revival. Since many say they cannot choose and will sit this one out. Remember this not voting means you have given approval to whatever is the outcome. Over the next few posts I intend to break this down according to the issues that should matter to every Christian in their choosing. We will be looking at late term abortions, religious liberties, the difference between a constitutional republic and a democracy, the division of power in government and the economy. Each we will explore with the Word of God as our guide.
God has given us two choses, just as He did the children of Israel.

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. John 12:35-36
