How can I know God’s Ways and see His Glory?

How can I know God’s Ways and see His Glory?

The greatest desire that I have is to show you a glimpse of God’s glory; yet, I know that my words will always fall so far short of the reality of who God is in all His splendor.  Any attempt to simplify the magnificent truths of who God is will always leave something lacking. Yet, my heart will not allow me to be silent; if perhaps, by some chance God might use my faltering words to open the eyes of your heart to see a glimpse of His Glory. It is a grave responsibility which I do not take lightly and pray that my words will always guide you to see a glimpse of His Glory.   I cannot pretend to understand all of who God is and some mysteries I will not know until I stand before His Throne of Grace one day; clothed in a righteousness not my own. I do believe I will fall to my knees in awe and wonder that He in all His grandeur would choose me to be His child.

The Glory of the trinity, I cannot fully comprehend. Why would perfect righteousness ever come to walk on earth and die a horrendous death on a cross as atonement for my sin? How could He have ever loved me that much? It is all too great for me to understand. Yet, He did. “For God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)

I can soar

[bctt tweet=”A Glimpse of His Glory, A moment in His presence-my heart would soar with His Joy.”]

Yet, how can I come before His throne? With all my dirty rags, my foolish desires for things, and my selfish requests. Oh, that I might lay aside all other desire to follow after Him.

MOSES PLEA

The people had sinned and Moses went before God to plead for His Mercy upon them. He was asking that God display His mercy on the people and himself. Moses asked that God show him the way to lead the people. He pleaded that God remain ever before them and in their presence; because without God’s presence there was no hope for them. “Now therefore, I pray thee if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, and I may find grace in thy sight…And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thous hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thy name…(then Moses) said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. And (God) said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy…Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the Lord said, Behold there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: and it shall come to pass while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen….and the Lord passed by before (Moses and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgress and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty” (Exodus 33:13-34:7)

JUSTICE AND MERCY

God’s Glory includes His perfect righteousness, His justice; as well as His Mercy, Grace and Love. If I look upon His Glory in all its fullness, I would be consumed by its fire because of my own rebellious and selfish heart of sin. I cannot pretend to understand the depth of all that God is. Yet, because of His Mercy and Grace He hid me in the cleft of the rock that I might glimpse at His Glory just enough to long to know Him more. He covered me with His hand and provided a means that I might have communion with Him; because, Christ came to die on a cross and pay the penalty for all my sin. He has clothed me with His righteousness.

[bctt tweet=”God’s Grace provided a way for me to see a glimpse of His Glory. Let me long to sit in His presence”]

Oh, Lord let my heart so desire you that I long to sit in your presence. Let me see your Glory. Let me drink in your goodness and show me your way. Without your presence I can do nothing. Let all who read these words see You.”

How can I know God’s Ways and see His Glory?  I must seek Him in His word and come into His presence in prayer
