5 Verses That Inspire Your Heart to see God’s Glory

How are you doing with the challenge? For me it is becoming a part of my early morning routine. In fact, I awaken with a hunger for those moments alone with God. I do get my cup of coffee and then retire to a chair—just my Bible in hand. Occasionally, I have been tempted (by old habit) to turn on the computer first thing; but, that I have laid aside.

God I long

[bctt tweet=”When you don’t know what to pray, reading God’s own words out loud can be a very powerful prayer”]I have chosen these 5 verses to help you today.

“27 The Lord is God, Who has shown and given us light [He has illuminated us with grace, freedom, and joy]. ..28 You are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You. 29 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever (Psalms 118 AMP).

“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. 2 You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. 3 You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. 4 You know what I am going to say before I even say it.5 You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head. 6 This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! 7 I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God!” (Psalm 139).

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23) Let me lay aside all desire for counterfeit joys, so that I might bask in Your joy. Help my heart to be content with your provision; knowing that you have chosen the best for me, your child.

As I look around at all that is happening in this world; I ask your mercy upon our nation and all the people. In everything that I do Lord I ask that You guide my words and my steps so that You might be Glorified. “1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and loving-kindness and for the sake of Your truth and faithfulness! 2 Why should the nations say, Where is now their God? 3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases” (Psalm 115 AMP). You are Sovereign and let me never be afraid to proclaim that—strengthen my faith and my voice to declare your goodness to all that may pass my way.

For all who stop to read and for all I might along this path, let this be my prayer for them.

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen (Ephesians 3). In the name of Christ, my blessed Savior and Friend, Amen.
