A Father’s Love Song to You

Power filled Positive Thinking—Chapter 9B—A Father’s Love Song to You

Have you considered how significant the truth that in Christ you are a child of God is? We wander through this journey with worries, trials, pains, and sorrows never stopping to ponder the truth of God’s love for us. He is a Father that loves us more than we could ever imagine. He gave everything that we might be adopted into His family. Despite His knowing all of my life, He chose me to be His child, to protect me, to provide for me, to comfort me, and to be always present with open arms to welcome me into His presence, even during those times when I have shunned Him or ignored Him.

God's Princess

He knew me and loved me before I was ever born. He knew every time I would doubt him, every fear, and every tear; yet, He chose me to call me His child. Because of that I am a Princess. My Father is the King of all the Galaxies—the Creator of the Universe; yet, He is ever present with me.

Galatians 4: “3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

So, why do we ever waste even one moment of our life in worry, fear, or chasing futile counterfeit joys? God is there as our provider and our protector. He is the mender of our broken hearts. He holds us close to His bosom always.

Romans 8: (TLB) 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.15 And so we should not be like cringing, fearful slaves, but we should behave like God’s very own children, adopted into the bosom of his family, and calling to him, “Father, Father.”16 For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we will share his treasures—for all God gives to his Son Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. 18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.

There may be trials, sorrows, pains along this journey; but, I can still be filled with joy in the midst of it all because I can trust my Father to be there with me. He is able to turn my trials into blessings, my weaknesses into His strength, and my tears into joy. So, often it is in the midst of a trial that I find myself crying at His feet only to realize He had already sent the answer and has provided a way. At that very moment when I see His response, my joy overflows, my heart is filled with love, and my voice sings forth with praise. Suddenly, I realize that in the trial—I was blessed in learning “How really, really Big my Daddy is and how much He loves me.”

2 Corinthians 1:

2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

So, what trial are you facing today? Call out to your Heavenly Father to show you the height, the depth and the breadth of his love for you—rest in His arms as He sings His sweet love song over you.

Listen to this beautiful song and let it fill your heart. It is God’s Love Song
